Care and cleaning

Wash by hand with hot water and a brush, dry the pan on the heat and wipe on a little oil. Never soak it or put it in the dishwasher. Wipe the wooden lid clean and let it dry in the air.

Is it cast iron? No. It is forged from sheet iron, so it is lighter than cast iron and heats faster.

Can I use metal tools? Yes. There is no coating to scratch.

What if it rusts? Scrub the spot, rinse, dry it on the heat and season it again with a thin film of oil.
