A bright metal frying pan with a hammered cooking surface, sold in five sizes with a fixed or a removable handle, with or without a lid.
Choosing the right size
Diameters are measured across the top rim; the flat base is usually 3 to 5 cm (1–2″) smaller. Match the base to your hob ring or zone. On an induction hob, check that induction is listed under Hob types: a magnet sticks firmly to a base that works on induction.
One pan, five sizes, two kinds of handle
- Surface: the inside is hammered into a fine honeycomb texture that runs up the flared sides
- Fixed handle: a long metal handle riveted to the side, with a hanging hole at the end
- Removable handle: the pan comes with a detachable handle, so it can go into a cupboard or stack without the handle in the way
- Sizes: 22, 24, 26, 28 or 30 cm across the rim
- Lid: every size is also sold with a lid
Diameters are measured across the top rim; the flat base is smaller. The pan has a plain hammered interior and a polished outside with no lettering. Heat it gently with a little oil or butter before adding food, and let it cool before washing.

Which size should I choose? A 22 or 24 cm pan suits one or two eggs and small portions; 28 or 30 cm suits a family meal or a large steak.
What is the removable handle for? Take it off to store the pan flat or stacked, and clip it back on before you cook.
Is a lid included? Only with the sizes marked 'with lid'; the other sizes are the pan alone.
