Open the press and rinse the chamber and grid under running water. Push any garlic out of the holes with a small brush, then dry the press.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to peel the garlic first? No, but peeled cloves press more easily and the chamber is quicker to clean.
Can I press ginger with it? Small pieces of fresh ginger work too. Cut them to the size of a clove first.
