Caring for a wooden board

Wash a wooden board by hand, dry it standing on its edge and oil it now and then with a food-safe oil. Never soak it or put it in the dishwasher: water that soaks in makes wood swell and crack.

Wash the board by hand with warm soapy water and dry it standing on its edge. Rub in a little food-safe oil now and then to keep the wood from drying out.
