Choosing the right size
Diameters are measured across the top rim; the flat base is usually 3 to 5 cm (1–2″) smaller. Match the base to your hob ring or zone. On an induction hob, check that induction is listed under Hob types: a magnet sticks firmly to a base that works on induction.
A saucepan in five sizes

Care and cleaning
Let the pan cool before washing it in warm soapy water with a soft brush. Clean between the honeycomb cells and dry the pan well.

Can I pour with either hand? Yes. There is a spout on each side of the rim.
