A polished, uncoated frying pan of 316 stainless steel with deep, gently curved sides and a long gold-tone handle. For gas and induction hobs, from 22 to 30 cm.
Choosing the right size
Diameters are measured across the top rim; the flat base is usually 3 to 5 cm (1–2″) smaller. Match the base to your hob ring or zone. On an induction hob, check that induction is listed under Hob types: a magnet sticks firmly to a base that works on induction.

Care and cleaning
Let the pan cool, then wash it with hot soapy water. Burnt-on food lifts after a soak, and a steel scourer is fine on uncoated steel. Dry it to keep the polish bright.
Frequently asked questions
Why does food stick at first? Uncoated steel needs heat before oil and food go in. Once the pan is hot, meat and eggs release as they sear.
Does it come with a lid? No. The pan is sold on its own.
